Jesus personally seeks out Philip. He calls Nathanael by name. He knows him intimately. In this way He proves that He is the Messiah, the good shepherd who knows and cares for each sheep. Yet the true miracle isn’t that He knew what Nathaniel was doing. The greater miracle is that He would open the way to heaven for sinners.

The Savior Comes to Give the Name of Righteous One
Isaiah rejoices in the Savior who gives him and us righteousness. Even though most won’t listen Isaiah continues to preach about this Messiah for the sake of the few who do listen. He continues until he is proven correct when the Messiah comes. When the Messiah comes He gives us a new name, righteous one.
