Tuesday July 16, 2019 Text: Colossians 1:1-14 Speaker: Pastor Matthew Ude Festival: Trinity Passages: Colossians 1:1-14
In the first part of our sermon text, Paul lists all the blessings which God has given to the Colossians. All of these things He has given to you too. Satan kills the pigs in order to turn the people again Jesus, but in so doing everyone sees with their own eyes the great thing Christ has done. Satan fills the people with fear so that they run Jesus out of town, yet Jesus leaves behind the quiet voice which is a constant witness to His love and power.

When we deny the trinity we deny the only name by which we can be saved. The Jews resorted to name calling rather than acknowledge the truth of who Jesus was. Abraham knew that name and rejoiced in the salvation it offered. The Father glorifies the Son so that through Him we might have salvation.
